Are the view counts in CTR Battle real?

Yes. Both thumbnails are real pieces from our portfolio and the view counts are pulled from the live data behind our Work page. Nothing is invented for the game, which is the point: you are guessing against outcomes that actually happened.

How does a guessing game make me better at thumbnails?

It forces you to judge thumbnails the way a viewer does, in under a second and side by side, rather than the way a designer does while zoomed in. Most thumbnail opinions are formed at 100% zoom; almost no viewing happens there.

Does a higher streak mean my own thumbnails will perform?

Not directly. The game trains recognition, and recognition is the cheap half; execution is the expensive half. It is a warm-up, not a qualification.

Is it free?
